The community team has set up the Neo4j console, a web-based graph to act as an interactive tutorial, where you can import data and easily share it online using a simple link.

This not only simplifies sharing your graph projects with others, but also enhances the Neo4j manual to easily demonstrate the documentation in its natural habitat.  See it within the manual here.
2012 May Emil Eifrem.jpg Neo Technology's CEO Emil Eifrem chats with Andy Glover, IBM's Java Technology Podcast interviewer, about graphs and Neo4j's origins. After having a podcast session with Peter Bell, Andy Glover decided to get straight to the source, and talk with one of Neo Technology's founders about graph databases' relevance in today's extremely connected world.

Niklas Lindblad used his musical tastes as the inspiration for his screencast to introduce Neo4j, implementing Last.fm data to demonstrate how one can discover new bands, based on musical tastes and using a graph database.

2012 May Duane Nickull.jpg

After Duane began playing around with Neo4j, he soon discovered how valuable a graph database is to store connected data. He has posted two blog posts surrounding the basics of Neo4j, so that others interested can quickly leap into the world of graphs. Check out his introductory blog post and tutorial here on his blog.

"As one person puts it, if you write, you can write code, if you can draw you can draw graphs. It is really that simple."

In April, Neo Technology announced its largest telecommunications customers to reflect the increasing use of graph databases within enterprises.

Companies announced were Cisco, Telenor, M800 and Deutsche Telekom, and demonstrate a logical use case for graph databases, where telco data contains extremely connected and complex networks spanning geographic locations.
